WMC 2009

The Maris Stella Symphonic Band Alumni will be going for the 16th World Music Contest that is held in Holland in 2009 (next year!)

we will be doing lots of fundraising activities for this upcoming projects. There will be subsidies for players. Those who wish to go with Alumni band is welcomed but subsidies wise, might not be as high as players.

We will be conducting auditions for those who would like to join Alumni for this upcoming overseas project!

Please get ready to go through at least 2 rounds of audition.

1st round: Just pass Mr Chiang/Fredy(mine) audition (this round should be easy to pass)

2nd round: You will need to pass the audition Alumni Band Music Committee + SL of respective instruments.

3rd round: During band normal band practices by Alumni Band Music Committee.

4th round: LAST audition by Music Director and Conductor, this round of audition will include all alumni band members (inclusive of both Admin Comm and Music Comm)

All current mssb members, sec 1s to 3s (sec 4s will be counted as alumni next year) are welcome to join and register yourself for this audition! First round of audition will probably be held after your SA2. So you all should have more than enough time to practice and of course study. ^^

There are a few people in Main Band that will be exempted from this Main band audition BUT instead included in Alumni Band Audition (stricter audition), since they have joined alumni since this year.

These people are: Darren (Bass Clar), Raymond (Horn), Nicholas Chew (Trumpet), James Onggo (Trombone), Nicholas Wu (Tuba), Saw (Percussion), Jia Wei (Percussion).
