Hi guys,
Regarding the sale of concert tickets. The $15 stall and $20 stall tickets are going to be finished selling out but the $20 stall tickets are still available. So please ask your frriends to come so that we will have a full house for the concert.
On a serious note. this is a WARNING to all Band members. In the morning, the Percussion section was punished because they went to eat at the primary school canteen without permission, and furthermore, during Full Band. I do not want this to happen again because its very unfair to the rest of the Band and by just fulfilling your selfish desires while everyone is working hard.
As i said in my first post. the Band needs everyone to work hard and do their part for the whole band to sound good. A band is as strong as its weakest link. Lets all hold hand in hand and work hard to achieve our goal.
Good luck on working hard!

Hi guys,
I know everyone is feeling the heat and stress of the concert. Today's practice was a full day practice. But you all should know that the majors have been the most tired and stressed up ones(especially sec 4 majors) for opening the Band Room every single day
We have exactly 17 days left to the concert! Everyone strive harder to greater heights.
I think that we should all do our part so that we can sound good during the concert and that others will come to our next concerts in the near future. This is the final stretch for some of you. Just put your studies as 2nd priority for a while and Band as your main focus and after that last stretch you will get a very long break in preparation for your Mid-years.
I believe no one would want to disappoint their friends when they come to the concert by playing horribly. Everyone should play a part. A Band is a team, not a soloist work.
I hope everyone can do their best in upcoming performance(s)

Hello everyone,
Haven't been posting for quite long. I have recently added new authors to this blog, mainly the Secondary 3 EXCO. So I would also be expecting quite alot of posting from them all. Help to keep this blog alive too.
It's been really a quick 3 years in MSSB for me. In less than a month's time, I would be stepping down along with all the other sec 4's. All the retarded times that we had in Band. Is going to come to an end. I'm sure, not matter how much tiring Band is. I guess majority of the Sec 4's have the same sentiments as me and have some certain feelings and emotions towards the Band which we all have been throughout our Secondary school life.
We are passing the baton to the Secondary 3 EXCO's now. This is your prime. It is your peak of your time in MSSB. Do the best that you can make out of it. Strive with the Band towards greater heights. Knock out that SYF next year. You guys are the leaders, after the Sec 4's would have gone. The Band is in your hands, not ours anymore.
The rest of the Band, both sec 1 and sec 2's. You guys would be leaders in the future also, don't be so immature still and realize that everyone plays an important role in the Band. We all must do it together or there is seriously no point in being a Band at all. Remember: A Band is as strong as it's weakest player.
---------------------------------------------------------
On a heavier note.
There's 18 more days to concert. Not everyone is still coming back to practice for the concert. The concert pieces are extremely challenging and unless you can tell me you can play the pieces perfectly, I do not see a reason why you should not come back for extra sectionals. We are also sacrificing alot of our time by staying back to open the Band Room, can't you make some sacrifices in exchange as well?
This concert will be a grand one. It will be the first time MSSB has ever performed in Esplanade, let us not make it the last by putting on a lousy performance. Everyone has potential to be a great player, it's just a matter of when and how you unlock that potential. Practice hard, 18 more days, I cannot stress how important it is. You can already tell from yourself in school that it is a huge-scale event and is quite important to the school. Perform well not only for the school, but for your own pride.
Gambatte, everyone for the next 18 days!
We can do it.

Hi everyone,
Please take note that this Saturday's practice on 15/3/08 will be from 8am to 1pm as usual. There will be no changes in the Saturday's practices until further informed. (Where Mr Chiang said the practices would be pushed to late afternoons)
I thank everyone for sacrificing their time to come for Band practices these past few days. I know practices from 9 to 5 really does drain your mind, soul and body. So I really appreciate everyone for sacrificing your time off to come and practice. All the efforts will not be put to waste if we continue working hard to the Concert in April!
On that topic of the April Concert! We have only about a month left to it. Many things are still being rushed through and I hope everyone can still sacrifice a little of their time to come back and practice still during school days. Or perhaps SL's would hold sectionals and inform you about it.
Only about a month left to the Concert!
Jiayou everyone!

Concert @ Esplanade
Everyone,
The Concert in April at Esplanade is drawing closer and closer.
Our standard is not something we can even talk about yet.
Everyone please practice harder! We don't really have much time left.
Only about one month left, we don't really have much time to be wasting sitting around.
From now on, the Band Room will be opened almost daily for sectionals.
In addition to Wednesday, Friday & Saturday's practice, your SL's will organize extra Sectionals.
I know it is all tough on you guys but we can't really be so slack right now.
We also cannot depend on Mr Chiang 100% of the time.
We have to depend on how hard we practice as well.
So everyone, I beseech you all to practice harder.
Both individually and as a Band.
The Concert@Esplanade is going to be a really really big event.
Not many schools get to perform at Esplanade, even JC's.
So please do not treat this as some ordinary concert and work harder.
We do not want to lose face in front of everyone during the whole Concert.
We want to prove to everyone who is sitting in the Concert Hall that :
We are a Gold Band Standard.
And even better than that!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That is all I have to say.
I hope that everyone takes initiative to practice!
Thanks.
