Hi guys,

Todays practice is very empty because many people didnt come for Band practice today. From today onwards, 'leave' forms are available at the conductor table. These forms are for those who will have a valid reason for not attending any Band practice in the near future. Please remember to fill in your personal particulars and get one of the teacher-in-charge's signature for the form to be valid. All members who will not be attending practice is expected to fill up your own leave form at least 1 week prior to your absence! This is a MUST! Other than writing your leave forms, please tell your respective SLs or Mr Chiang directly if you are not coming for any practice. As from today, any members who is absent from band without filling up a leave form will face a consequence of 50 push ups and 100 push ups for commitee or SLs. (Overlapping of positions, if both exco and SL, would not be taken into account, thus max punishment is 100 push ups.) Today attendence was very bad, especially percussion! Oh yes! It is everyones' responsibility to either tell your SLs or any band member if you are not coming for practice, along with your reason. Those who still do not have the Band scehdule, please take a copy from the conductor table yourself! I am SICK AND TIRED of members asking me whether there is Band practice on a particularly day and giving stupid reasons such as: I dont know today got Band practice OR I have tuition later and other lame and stupid excuses. If i can make changes in my life to come for practices then so can you! And btw, it is your own responsibilty to check your own scehdule to find out!

Next, PLEASE DO NOT GET YOURSELVES INTO TROUBLE! Two members (Exco somemore!) were caught for having done something against the school rule. I shall not disclose the things that they have done! Their cases are being handled by Mr Koh now! Mr Koh has also decided to BAN both of them from any competitions in the future. Mind you, its BAN! ITS SERIOUS! Both of you are really being selfish! This have affected the whole band. So, please stay out of trouble, especially when SYF is next year! The next time when you want to do something stupid and break the school rules, THINK THRICE! You are not letting yourselves down but also letting the whole band down! As long as you are a Maris Stella Symphonic Band member, you will be a MSSB member wherever and whenever you are in school, be it recess after school or during classes!

Thirdly, tomorrow is the deadline for your minor scales and all of you will have to hand in your written minor scales. Please do a good job! Also, the band's disciplinary level is going down. What is the bloody problem with you guys!? Cant you all just shut your bloody mouth when Mr Chiang stops or when he speaks? This is bloody irritating you know? Would you all really like if the Majors come for all practices and always scold and punish you guys? I think you all should know what to do next time and I DO NOT want to talk abt disciplinary level anymore. One more thing, YOUR PENCILS! Where are your BLODDY pencils!? Please take out your pencils and write down the things that Mr Chiang wants you guys to do! After writing, carry out and practice those things such as articulation, intonation and other things during sectionals! DO NOT SLACK DURING SECTIONALS! It is SECTIONALS! NOT SLACKTIONALS!!! Please guys, work hard! Improve on your tone! I will be giving some advice on improving your tone in next few days so please wait as I AM VERY BUSY! SYF is not far away and we sure want our 3rd consecutive gold! Please dont let down our seniors who have worked hard to obtain the gold award!

Fourthly, I want you guys to wish the Alumni Band all the best for their National Band Competition which they will be taking part on Sunday 13 July 2008 ( 2 days from now!) Please puts your hands together and wish them best of luck for the upcoming competiton! *clap clap* GO GO! MSAB( Maris Stella Alumni Band) YAY! Speaking of the Alumni band, Mr Fredy Chia needs 2 to 3 ppl to help out on Sunday to help shift the Percussion instruments! Gains: You will get about 3 CIP hours and a free concert during the competition. So, you will get to hear all the professional band like our Alumni Band! :) GD LUCK ALUMNI BAND!

Please work hard not only for the Botanic Gardens performance but also for the upcoming SYF! WE WANT THE GOLD! AT LEAST A GOLD! Oh yes, please help spread and encourage your family and friends to come and support us!
